The French fashion house “Balenciaga”, since its creative director Demna Gvasalia, has returned to his favorite activity – making fun of customers. Luxury fashion houses have been celebrated for their innovative ideas and their products have always been available at budget-friendly prices. The reasons are various, starting from the valuable design, material and working hours consumed. These aspects no longer apply to the French fashion house “Balenciaga”, the brand sells bags for thousands of euros as garbage bags, worn sneakers (which were sold out instantly!), bags identical to the blue Ikea shopping bags and now it’s time for the towel-skirt.
If profit is not the goal, then you can’t complain about the lack of attention. The comments on social net are more witty than each other – “More than 600 euros for a towel skirt!? If I saw someone wearing it in public, I would think that they didn’t make it to the bathroom in time and were given a towel to cover themselves with,” “Good morning! If you haven’t still deciding what to wear to work today, check out the new towel skirt from the luxury brand “Balenciaga”. Only 695 euros!”, “My mom always dressed me like this! Balenciaga, you should hire her as a designer!”
Not only ordinary users of social networks laugh, but even companies. So, for example, the Swedish furniture and interior goods giant “Ikea” has published a picture on Instagram promoting its skirt-towel. More profitable, for 16 euros. And it goes without saying that it can be worn identically to the “Balenciaga” version – with a black hoodie, expressive sunglasses, and beige pants. “Introducing the new “Vinarn” towel skirt – the most current model of 2024,” the offer description reads.
