Heartfelt charity concert of the year “Come along for Christmas!” this year, GORS will be held in the great Latgale embassy on December 8 at 7:00 p.m. In musical performances, artists loved by the audience in Latvia and talented children and young people with special needs – laureates of the integrative art festival “Come together!” will perform together again, informs Sarma Freiberga.
Concert “Come along for Christmas!” the goal is not only to create an unforgettable performance on stage, giving young people with special needs the opportunity to develop and express their talents, but at the same time to introduce the society to something different, inviting them to see, understand and accept it as an equal part of this world and society,” says Sarma Freiberga.
This year “Come together” talented young people with various functional disabilities will be represented by the youth of Valmiera Gauja krasta secondary school – development center and preschool dancers “Mazās bitites”, the percussion group of Riga 1st elementary school – development center, the brash singing boys of Riga 5th elementary school – development center, Riga Ēbelmuiža elementary school surdo group, Daugavpils Stropi elementary school – development center pre-school zvangu duet, VSAC “Zemgale” branch “Ziedkalne” dancers, individual performers – Diāna Ponaskova, Renāte Jakovljeva, Laura Žukova, Marta Rancāne, Artūrs Rubenis, Anton Snegov, Kaspars Grigāns, Roberts Reingold and instrumentalists – accordionist Mihails Olehovs, organist Yakovs Burlayevs, guitarist Kirill Shvidchenko and the Come Together Foundation! a chorus in which many of the soloists sing.
Together in a unified performance will be their friends in music – excellent stage artists: LNO soloists Ilona Bagele andJulia Vasilieva, singers Dainis Skutelis, Marija Naumova, Nauris Puntulis, Ingus Ulmanis, Kristine Miss,ethnic group group Daughter of the nationgroup Audio quarter. In general, you will be able to hear them clearly at the concert Doma Choir School Boys Choir voices (conductor Mārtiņš Klišāns), Emīlas Dārziņš Music School Orchestra together with professional musicians. The musical leadership in the concert is entrusted to the conductor Andris Vecumnieks. The musical arrangements were created by the composer and musician Andris Sejans. Concert director – Marija Berziņa. This year’s concert will have a unique opportunity to see the masterpieces of Latvian painters in scenography. To make this possible, the foundation cooperates with the holders of the LNMM collections. A video artist will dress it all up in a video frame Toms Zelgis.
“Nothing is too difficult when you have such friends by your side! Together, we will create a miracle of the solstice time, which will begin with a thorough disguise and cacophony, will allow us to linger in dreams and longings, and, as at the moment when the threshold of the solstice is crossed, we will pray for the fulfillment of our intentions in our thoughts. If we really believe, then many things come true!”, thinks Sarma Freiberga, the artistic producer of the charity concert for many years, the head of the “Come together!” Foundation and the author of the idea of this campaign.
